Mini-merriness with mini trees….

December 1, 2010 By Jennifer

My Trader Joe’s had these cute little pine trees; I couldn’t resist putting them in some of my  milk glass with some vintage bell ornaments. My oldest was great about pointing out how fragile they were by breaking 2 of them for me about 10 minutes after I had put them out. Those are back in the box for another year.

I found out these types of pine trees might actually grow in my area, so I am going to nurse these little sprouts until spring and then see what happens.
I love these little mini trees!
It might take me 15 years, but I’ll get my wooded lot yet. 🙂

They are small, but I bet with enough love and care they’ll make it and you can enjoy them along the way!

the white with the dark green is pure Christmas!

And, I love those clock faces in the background…those are on my list….can you tell me where to find them?

Too cute! And they look like the kind I had on the side of my old house. When we moved in 6 years ago, it was as tall as my waist and looked like a bush. Within 6 years, that little “bush” grew into a HUGE massive tree that is scraping the second floor bedroom window. So they grow pretty well…even in a drought. I had 4 others lining my fence and they all are HUGE! I probably would plant them somewhere that they won’t completely consume the area…;)

These totally just made me smile, thank you. And I love them in those milk glass pitchers.

I bought some super pointy needle tipped tiny trees for my dining table (my orange tabby likes nibbling on greens, so I’m hoping their prickly ends keeps him away).

    Happy Holidays!
