Unconventional Ceiling Decorating Ideas
I’ve heard ceilings called the 5th wall, and they are often a neglected area. The ceiling of a home can become a focal point and a beautiful accent to any decorating style. Painting and decorating styles have long fallen in and out of style from simple plaster effects to gorgeous frescos painted by Michelangelo.

In the nursery, I didn’t even try. The whole thing is a night to day sky.
In our sub-level we have a heating duct that runs through the center of the room. Another great 1960’s design feature. We used the raised patterned wall paper(anaglypta), painted it and highlighted it with copper.
In our main bath,it was really off. I opted to not even try so I taped in a faux tray ceiling about an inch in..
I love this picture from TJ Maxx I bought a few years ago of some bathing beauties.. Do you know what I noticed for the first time in about 4 years when I was taking the picture for you? Look at the little boy in the center…
Busted!
I love little surprises when you go into some one’s house and you never notice it the first 10 times, but that 11th time….Hey, how long have you had that picture on your ceiling?

It’s in a little space between our hall and bath..Just big enough for an angel to watch over us.
