Book lovers recommendations

I’ve been just reading, reading, reading like crazy lately. I don’t know about you, but I get into these phases where I go a while without reading and then suddenly, I consume books like candy, realizing how much I’ve missed it!!! Even though I’ve read some not so great books, I’ve also read some really awesome books lately. I thought I would share a few of my favorite book lovers recommendations!

I’ll share some quick reviews with out giving anything away!

I read this so fast, it was in one sitting. I found it really hard to put down!!

Warning… you WILL cry. Don’t read this on an airplane like I did unless you want the person sitting next to you think you just took the last taxi from crazy town as you sob next to them at 35,000 feet uncontrollably.

So if you totally loved The Secret Life of Bees, you will again LOVE this book.

I have to tell you, if this were my husband’s secret there would be problems. I can’t tell you with out spoiling it, but I will say it’s not what you think!

This is another book where it just makes you marvel at the human spirit. I laved every page.

This book is a hefty read, but I devoured every word about these families in Medieval times.

Sometimes you need a few books to motivate you and bring back the spark, like Big Magic.

I am currently working my way through this book by Holly Gerth. It’s supposed to be over 40 days, but I love it so much I find I am reading and re-reading a lot of it and taking more than 40 days, and Loving it.

I first found this book at my library and have read it many times. This is an actually slave narrative and is such compelling reading it just lodges itself in your chest and sits there.

I just want to say one thing: I LOVE Tina Fey

I hope if you are looking for some book lovers recommendations, these books can give you a start on diving deep into a good read!

  1. Have your read “Room”? I loved it! I think you’d love it too as I have read several of the books you listed here and loved them too! I’m reading “Nightingale” now–very good! Also, you must read “All the Light We cannot See”!!!

  2. I’ve been doing the same thing! I went for the past couple of years only taking time to read non-fiction, parenting/faith books, and about 6 months ago regained my love for novels and am soaking them up! Some of these are on my list!
