Painted Table Makeover
In my last post I talked about my inspiration table. It’s certainly not this one. My old table was wood veneer and had unidentified things that were stuck on it that were stronger than glue. A friend gave me a new to me kitchen table and I wanted to give it a painted table makeover.
It had been sitting in my garage until I realized I need to get it out and paint it.
and I decided to give it a paint treatment with a coat or two and a little distressing and glazing. I was getting excited to see how it was coming along.
some sanding and staining… all while wearing a jaunty hat (Paint always goes on better while wearing a good hat…).After painting I sealed it very well with polyacrylic sealer. to make sure it would be extra durable for crayons and whatever else in on the table. Those kiddos are rough on furniture! This table is much more inspiring. The moment we put it in our space, I love how it instantly brightened up the eat in area. It sudden;t changed from being a black hole. It’s amazing how such a small change can make such a huge difference!
I love how much the space looks now with the painted table makeover. I really love that the table has a flip in and store leaf that can expand too. It’s perfect for when we have a few people come over to eat or extra kids. It has such a pretty cottage feel! I really love how my home is lightening and brightening up. Soon, I am going to have to paint the walls and make it even lighter and brighter!
