I am so excited to have you in my home. A lot has changed here since last year!
This year I went with a winter forest themed tree.
I used a lot of my same decor as last year, and added some flocked branches to my tree to give it that snowy feel.
I have this beautiful Rustic Reindeer tree skirt from Wayfair. I love the rustic natural feel of the hand-embroidery!
I love how pretty the white lights look, though my kids love the colored lights.
You may have noticed two different tree toppers. I took a bunch of pictures, and decided I liked the star better. So you get two different looks!
You can find my artsy winter deer pillow on the couch in the shop. It’s one of my favorites!
I am a total sucker for felted items. I don’t know why. I found these cute, hand-felted mistletoe ornaments from Wayfair. I’ve moved them all over my house they are so darn cute! Right now they are on the faux mantle, but I am thinking about putting one above each doorway.
I wanted something fresh this year on my mantel, so I put real little trees in jars.
I love how fresh and sweet they look. I’ll put them in soil once the holidays are over.
I just love the look of fresh greens and sparkly vintage ornaments in a mercury glass bowl from Homegoods.
I kept the decor a little more simple this year. For us I cook all of the time and the kitchen is a workhorse, so I try not to have too much in my way.
I added some greenery to my chandelier.
Ans some mercury glass baubles.
Over the kitchen window, I added a boxwood wreath, a poinsettia, and a cute dishtowel from Anthro.
I love adding a fresh plant for a touch of color.
And I fell in love with these cute little bottle brush trees! They were perfect for my windowsill display.
I have an odd corner on my counter-top, so I always like to put a cute display with a nice accent plate and some other cute things. I found the little house at the dollar spot at Target, and the mug is from Anthro. I wrapped a book in gift wrap to use as a little stand. for the mug. Super easy and super cute!
Against the wall, I put some cute stacked Santa mugs and one reindeer mug from Target. It’s a fun little display. You can see more of our holiday kitchen here.
In our dining area, I put a mercury glass and faux birch bark candle centerpiece. I can’t do anything huge since this is where we eat.Can I tell you how much I love this new to me hand me down table! I love how it looks with my new chairs. They are actually one of the first pieces of brand-spanking new furniture we’ve added in about 4 years. Almost everything else in our home is either thrifted, a hand me down, or flea marketed.
I used lots of greenery this year in my decor. I love how it brings the outside in when it’s so blah out!
I bought these awesome salvaged, reclaimed wood pieces at a market. I think they are from either old staircase newel posts or table legs, or both. I put some boxwood around them, and added greenery and battery operated candles. Now I wish I had bought more I love them so much!
I wane to give you a view of my hutch. It’s in a spot that’s really hard to photograph, but I love how the felted garland looks with the wreath (I told you I love felted decor 🙂 ),
and my glass cloches. It just looked so pretty! For a little more tour, you can see our holiday bedroom here. Check it out now, because it’s getting painted with a makeover very soon! 🙂
