Simple holiday bedroom decor
Hi everyone! We are picking up again in the farmhouse holiday series sponsored by Birch Lane.I thought I would share with you my simple holiday bedroom decor, and as you know, Halloween is over, so it’s time to start rolling into the next decor season! It’s an exciting day, because not only can I start pulling out the holiday decor, but my online jewelry class Modern Bohemian Jewelry just launched! There is still time to sign up if you want to learn to make beautiful jewelry!
We have a smaller bedroom, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t add some decor to make it cheerful for the holidays. I like adding simple touches that are still restful and cheerful.
Since our bed is under a window, it does limit what we can put over it. But, I do like to add a preserved boxwood wreath. It adds some holiday happiness and greenery without dropping pine needles all over our heads. 🙂
The awesome Anika coverlet is from Birch Lane. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it, and the deep blue is a nice transition into winter decor.
The pretty white shams called The Evie Shams with a pretty lace trim on the edge and a cute fox pillow are also from Birch Lane. I added my own boho pillow to the back.
I found those gold leafy lampshades a few years ago, and I still love how they add a little sparkle in the room.
On our dresser I added boxwood to vintage trophies. I was going to paint the bases, but I actually like the wood. Behind them a glass vase with a wood base has some pretty, sparkly miniature ornaments.
I added The Greta rug from Birch Lane over our beige carpet. I love how it adds color next to the bed, it has such a pretty pattern.
On my tall dresser, I added a mercury glass bowl and filled it with greenery from my yard and ornaments. I love the sparkle of the silver next to the green of the feathery pine.
On our nightstands, I have stage heads with some pine branches with cute gold bows. I need to save room for the normal amount (okay, large amount) of books and magazines that are normally piled there.:)
I know it seems early for the holidays, but this is my busiest time. I have already started booking speaking engagements, book signings and craft and decor classes, and I have a few show coming up.
You can find my book Creatively Christmas: Inspired Yuletide Décoron Amazon, and it’s exciting to see it’s already almost sold out again!

It’s beautiful Jen. Love the rug! I treated myself to your book when we met you at a show last summer. Filled with so many great ideas! Blessings to you in the busy schedule ahead.
Thank you Gwen!

I apologize about that Nan. It’ the only way I can afford to keep the blog running and keep it free.
It’s all beautiful. On the tall dresser in the silver bowl: that is Juniper, commonly called Eastern Red Cedar. In the florist trade, they never put Juniper cuts in an arrangement with carnations lest the carnations go to sleep. The ornaments are a good choice.
Very pretty bedroom. I would like to know the color of the night stands.
