Creative organization ideas 2016

Happy New Year!!! Are you ready for some cute,creative organization ideas 2016 style?

I have to admit, I am one of those “messy” creative types.Organizing is not one of my strong suits. I think it’s because when I start creating, I just go and make and make and make. When I am done, normally there is quite a bit of clean up, and a little bit of paint splatter…

But I knew I had to give it a try! 🙂 One of my goals fro 2016 is to be way more organized!

Our Michaels Makers challenge for this month was to use some of Michaels new line, Cre8ted Spaces to help make our spaces a little more tidy. It has over 300 items with 4 coordinating colors.

The first thing I found was this super cute aqua cart!

I put my paper on one shelf, my Cricut papers in a basket on another, and all of my frequently used art supplies on the top shelf.

I used the cute metal pencil cups for holding my art markers. I loved the combo of the coral and aqua. It added a bit of fun color.

Behind them is one of my secrets to organizing my tube paints.Vintage cigar boxes.

They are perfect for holding my smaller paints like my watercolors and my gouche tubes.

I am cheating a bit, because This galvanized caddy and tin cups aren’t a part of the Cre8te Space line, They are actually a few aisles over, but they were perfect for my watercolor colored pencils and brushes. It had a handle which I loved, because was perfect for moving it around.

They also had these  awesome GIANT paperclips. I am not sure what they are exactly for, but I loved them so much, I had to buy one and I clipped Middle’s art work in it. I love the idea of using them for art display.
