Moon and Frog Wall Mural

One of my favorite murals I painted was of a frog fishing and catching the moon. One of my customers wanted this as a wall mural and I decided to take my own creative freedom with it and we wanted to match the scene to the quilt she already had. The walls were painted a pretty sage green color.
A nursery with pastel yellow and blue wall accents, a wooden crib with a blue patchwork quilt, and a mural of a cow jumping over the moon on the wall.

We based the colors on the quilt the owner had. We striped the walls and painted a harlequin border in the quilt colors.
A wall mural of a blue crescent moon with a face, wearing a nightcap, holding a string, surrounded by stars and clouds on a pale background.

While the moon was still sleeping.
A mural of a small animal in a blue coat fishing, painted on a wall above a row of pastel yellow and blue diamonds. An electrical outlet is nearby.

The frog managed to rope him in while sitting on a rock fishing.
A wooden crib with a green stuffed toy inside sits against a pale green wall decorated with a dark wavy line and geometric blue and yellow border.

He needed an extra long rope so there is a knot tied in the middle. This is the other side of the room where the stripes continue around.
A nursery room with pastel-colored striped walls, a window, a wooden crib with a blue and yellow quilt, and a blue rug on the wooden floor.

We also decided to paint the dresser as well to go with the room theme.

It was just a plain, wood dresser.

A wooden chest of drawers with five drawers, featuring no visible handles, placed indoors.
It really needed a refresh with some color and we decided to take some inspo from  the quilts and the border on the wall.

A five-drawer dresser painted in pastel colors and geometric patterns is placed against a matching decorative wall.

So using the same paints, we came up with a pattern  and really love how sweet it turned out. It’s the perfect accent for the room.
A painted sign with a yellow crescent moon and stars on a purple background, displaying the phrase "Reach for the moon and you'll fall amongst the stars.

And then of course we needed a little sign to add a touch to the other wall with a sweet quote.
Reach for the moon, even if you miss, you will land amongst the stars….
