Quick and Easy Egg Bake with Sausage and Crescent Roll Dough

This Quick and Easy Egg Bake is a delicious way to make a yummy, family breakfast. I love it because the steps are simple,and everyone in my home loves it!

An egg bake is one of those things that has the best of everything in it for a yummy breakfast when everyone is home. It’s a great New Year’s Day dish, or just when the family is hanging around. While everything I used in the recipe was organic except for the crescent roll dough, sometimes, you just gotta live a little! The nice thing about this is if you are a little short on the ingredients, it’s not an exact science, so you can fudge it a little. The sausage is pre-cooked, which makes it even easier! I have previously used non-dairy milk such as almond or soy as well, and it’s still just as delicious.

-Ingredients for a Quick and Easy Egg Bake-

9″ x 12″ non-stick pan , 2 packages of crescent roll dough, 9 large eggs, 1 1/2 cup milk , 1 TBSP onion powder, 1 package Gilbert’s Craft Sausage’s Chicken Bourbon Apple Sausage (sliced), 1/2 Cup Shredded White Cheddar Cheese, Salt and Pepper to taste- about 1 tsp. each

Pre-heat oven to 375° F degrees. While oven is pre-heating, lay crescent roll dough in bottom, and up the sides of pan,pressing edges together to form a solid piece of dough.

In a bowl, mix the eggs, milk, onion powder, salt and pepper.  Pour over dough.

Lay sliced sausage for even distribution, and sprinkle cheese over the top.

Place in pre-heated oven, and bake for approximately 30-40 minutes or until the top and crescent roll dough is golden brown,a knife comes out clean when testing the center, and the internal temperature reached 158° F by thermometer.  Let rest until warm before serving.

You can see that everyone was so anxious,that they couldn’t wait until I took the picture to dig in. But, that’s real life, right? They polished off this pan pretty quickly, I should have made two!
