Wooden Spool Christmas Garland
Hi lovely readers! It’s Jamie, So Much Better With Age, back again with another DIY project! This one is so simple! But it looks so pretty. You can use it for Christmas or regular decor. Let me show you how you can make this wooden spool Christmas garland in minutes.
SUPPLIES:
- small wooden spools
- thick wool
- large needle
That small needle is a regular needle so you can see the difference for the large needle you’ll need.
I found these little wooden spools on sale at a local craft store. I grabbed all the packages! The hardest part of this project is threading that needle with wool but you only have to do it once. Once you get that wool thread on the needle, knot it and start threading all the little spools. If you don’t have wool yarn, you can also use thick cotton sting, twine or ribbon. There is something about the way the wool yarn looks though.
These look amazing against the greenery and the white of my mantel.
You don’t have to do anything else! Once you get them all on the thread, spread them apart a bit and cut off to the length you are happy with and tie off each end.
The best part is that the thickness of the wool keeps the spools in place so you don’t need to knot it anywhere else or even glue it. Just wool and spools!
I was going to put this on our large Christmas tree this year but I love how it looks just draped on the mantel. It’s so simple yet so pretty!
So pretty. I love natural, rustic Christmas decor. Just make sure it keep out of reach of children and pets!
I hope I’ve inspired you’ve inspired you today 😉
