Welcome to the 2012 Virtual Holiday Housewalk!!!!!

December 3, 2012 By Jennifer

I am so excited you are all here!!!!Welcome to everyone coming over from the Nesting Place!Welcome to day one of the second annual holiday house-walk here at Jenniferrizzo.com! The houses this year are amazing! I have many wonderful returning homes and some fantastic new homes as well!I am so honored to have them participating!
Grab your hot cocoa, put some Bing Crosby on, and enjoy all of the holiday inspiration!!!!!
Just click on each button to take you to the next house! You can either click from here or take the full tour and click from each site to the next house like a real house walk!

Welcome to my own holiday home!
I fell into a pom pom/snowball theme this year. I am obsessed!
I changed the direction of my table in my breakfast nook and I love how it lengthens the room!

I added cedar garland to my mirror and did a cloche over my candles Pottery Barn style.

I added some faux bottle brush trees on top of my pom-pom table runner.

…I love a little fabric glue and sparkly pop-poms for a very easy and inexpensive pop of festiveness!

I have been collecting lids to those old silver-plate chafing dish sets. I wasn’t sure when I was collecting them what I was going to do with them but I can’t seem to pass one up. I thought a collage with greenery would be pretty.

I kept it simple over my sink this year with a pretty dish towel for some color. I really love red in my kitchen at Christmas.

And I put mini boxwood branches on the sill for some natural prettiness.

I admit it; I am obsessed with the wreath from Anthro, but it’s out of my budget. I used their big wreath as an inspiration for mini-wreaths for the back of my chairs.

I wanted to show you my snowball tree.

I made huge pom poms and placed them on the branches.

.

They are a pop of fun and were an easy night in front of the TV.

I  made a festive banner on the computer. My hubby strung it up for me. He’s such a good sport. 🙂

I decided to take advantage of the open space inside of my faux fireplace for my “winter forest”vignette.

And I filled my mantel top with greenery and all of my silver plate pieces.

and added natural elements such as nests and sparkly birds.

Until Santa brings the good stuff, I gathered bird cages from around my house and old books and put them underneath.

Thank you so much for taking my home tour!
Onto the next house! I adore her home and she was an awesome part of the tour last year!

I know you will love this next house! It’s Thistlewood Farm!!!

.

And these two amazing girls bring on the Holiday cheer!

It’s two homes for the cost of stopping at one!

I hope you have loved today’s part the holiday tour! We’ll be back with more homes tomorrow starting with one of my good e-friends Beth at Home stories A to Z!

    Jen,
It is all so wonderful. My fav so far is your home. I love it all. I especially love the old silver lids on the wall. I have a spot in my dining room and I have been wondering what to do there. I think I may have to start to collect these old lids. I love the character they give to the room. Dressed up with greenery makes them even prettier. Love your home. It is amazing.

After seeing your home all decorated today I came home from work, grabbed materials and made a Merry Christmas banner for my mantel using shipping tags and labels that I printed off twice, once with the letters in a rustic font and again with french script. Next I will string them on some twine and put it up! So excited!!! I would have never known I could be crafty without all the inspiration and courage that you and the other lovely girls in the course provided. So grateful, Happy Holidays to you and your family!!
