Welcome to my own holiday home! I fell into a pom pom/snowball theme this year. I am obsessed! I changed the direction of my table in my breakfast nook and I love how it lengthens the room!

I added cedar garland to my mirror and did a cloche over my candles Pottery Barn style.

I added some faux bottle brush trees on top of my pom-pom table runner.

I love a little fabric glue and sparkly pop-poms for a very easy and inexpensive pop of festiveness!

Vintage silver server pot lids with greenery
I have been collecting lids to those old silver-plate chafing dish sets. I wasn’t sure when I was collecting them what I was going to do with them but I can’t seem to pass one up. I thought a collage with greenery would be pretty.
KItchen window with pine cone garland and a car on a tree tea towel

I kept it simple over my sink this year with a pretty dish towel for some color. I really love red in my kitchen at Christmas.

VIntage glass bottles with fresh boxwood inside

And I put mini boxwood branches on the sill for some natural prettiness.

Handmade pom pom wreath anthropologie inspired

I admit it; I am obsessed with the wreath from Anthro, but it’s out of my budget. I used their big wreath as an inspiration for mini-wreaths for the back of my chairs.

I wanted to show you my snowball tree.

I made huge pom poms and placed them on the branches.

I  made a festive banner on the computer. You can make the same one here.

I decided to take advantage of the open space inside of my faux fireplace for my “winter forest”vignette.

And I filled my mantel top with greenery and all of my silver plate pieces.

Until Santa brings the good stuff, I gathered bird cages from around my house and old books and put them underneath.

It is all so wonderful. My fav so far is your home. I love it all. I especially love the old silver lids on the wall. I have a spot in my dining room and I have been wondering what to do there. I think I may have to start to collect these old lids. I love the character they give to the room. Dressed up with greenery makes them even prettier. Love your home. It is amazing.

  30. Jen I fell in love with your style and incredible talent while taking the Creatively Made Home course. After seeing your home all decorated today I came home from work, grabbed materials and made a Merry Christmas banner for my mantel using shipping tags and labels that I printed off twice, once with the letters in a rustic font and again with french script. Next I will string them on some twine and put it up! So excited!!! I would have never known I could be crafty without all the inspiration and courage that you and the other lovely girls in the course provided. So grateful, Happy Holidays to you and your family!!

  38. Jen you are an artist. Everything is so homey and inviting. Makes me want to grab my throw, cup of tea, turn on the Christmas music and read a good Christmas book.
Can you direct me to where I might buy the decal you used “CHESTNUTS ROASTING ON AN OPEN FIRE”. I loved that and want to put it on my blackboard. I hope you post this year.
