It’s just a few weeks until Christmas! Now that Thanksgiving is over, I feel like I can now crank the holiday music and really get in the jingle bell mood!
For my last project, I wanted to share a really cute and easy thrift store makeover on to make a faux sugar Santa. It’s amazing what you can do with some white spray paint, craft glue and white glitter.
I found these various ceramic Santas over the summer. I knew I wanted to do something with them, but I wasn’t sure what.
While on their own they were fine, they just didn’t go together. The two on each end were scary looking too.
The Santa on the right looked really worried, and
the one on the right had a rabid-looking reindeer.
See, totally not kidding.
I first gave them all a few coats of white spray paint.
Once they dried, I painted each one with white craft glue and immediately sprinkled on super fine ,white glitter. Martha Stewart has one called Carrera Marble that I like a lot.
I let them dry. I love the effect, they look like they are made of sugar!
The reindeer no longer looks like he wants to bite me either.
They make a nice display together too for a winter scene!
