Welcome to the 2017 Holiday Housewalk Day 1

Welcome to the 2017 Holiday Housewalk Day 1! I am so excited to have you here. I can’t believe it is in it’s  7th year!!

I’ll kick off the our with my home, and then you can visit everyone else who has decked their homes for the holiday! So turn up Bing Crosby, and let’s start our tour!

Jennifer Rizzo 2017 Holiday Housewalk Day 1

Welcome to my home!

Frosty garland tree,and neutral pillows

This year I went with a simpler approach to my decorating. We kept our living room and main tree very simple, and loaded up the kids tree downstairs with the more fun ornaments. For us, with the retail store, the holiday is a little different this year, but we are still finding time to bake our favorite chewy ginger cookies, and spend time doing fun holiday things!

The wreath over our mantel is an old wine barrel ring. I just fell in love with how cool it was.

In the kitchen, and dining area, I added fresh touches to the decor, and some fun plaid.

In the dining area, we use our table 24/7, so I picked a tablescape we could easily remove so we could eat at the table.

A large butcher block cutting board, filled with fruits we can eat and some eucalyptus was perfect to lift on and off.

In our bedroom, I added more fresh, natural touches. If you read our bedroom post, you’ll see why I loved the boxwood but it didn’t last very long.

The wreath over the bed is a faux olive leaf, so no problem with that one!

I added some small holiday touches to our main bathroom too.

A preserved boxwood wreath and some fresh flowers make it perfect for guests.

  1. Holiday Housewalk #3 is missing….The rest are gorgeous on today’s housework. Well done! I’m still waiting for Lucy at Craftberry to post also.

  2. It’s all beautiful and impressive, especially since you opened a new business recently. I love the neutral, white, clean Christmas decor look. I always enjoy seeing your sweet kitchen, too. One of my favorites!

  3. I love that you went simpler – so did I! Your Santa mug collection is so fun and I love that you added little festive touches in your bedroom and bathroom. Merry Christmas Jen!

  4. The first thing that caught my eye were the tree pillows – I almost bought those myself! That wine barrel hoop wreath is too cool. Don’t you love finding unique elements like that? I’m amazed you’ve had time to get any decorating done. I know how busy you must be this time of year with the shop. I still need to get over there! Thanks so much for hosting another week of holiday homes. I always look forward to this week.

  5. Everything is just absolutely lovely Jen!! You always amaze me! Thank you so much for always being our ever gracious hostess on the Holiday Housewalk and I’m so humbled to be in the company of such amazingly talented women. xoxo

  6. Yaaaaay!!!! I look forward to this week every single year, and it never disappoints. Loving the simplicity of your tree this year, Jen!

  7. Jennifer,
Everything is beautiful as always. I’m looking for a set of the mercury glass Christmas trees that aren’t too expensive. Where did you get your set?

  9. Love all the fresh greens and pomegranates you’e included Jen! Everything looks so beautiful. The simpler approach is how I’m approaching Christmas this year as well and I have to say… I’m loving it. 😉 Hugs! xx
