Hi everyone! I am joining the Thrifty Style Team again with a fun and inexpensive DIY decor project! With spring approaching, I have a fun free bee and honeycomb printable (for personal use only!) This can be used as an instant art print, or for DIY home decor projects! I used it to make a DIY decorative decoupage bee dish! To grab this printable just right click and save as an image. If you’re having a hard time grabbing it, try opening the image in a new window and grabbing it from there.

Start by using your tray bottom to trace a circle on your printable.
Once you’ve traced your circle, paint your tray with multi-surface paint for your decoupaged dish.
While your tray paint is drying, cut out your printable around your traced edge.
Once your circle is cut out, brush decoupage medium on tray and back of paper. Do you love decoupage projects? I love how it can be used to transform something! I’ve decoupaged everything from furniture to home decor using both fabric and paper! And I love how it can be used as a base to paint over too.
Lay the paper on the tray and press, smoothing any wrinkles. That’s the trick with decoupage. The medium has to be spread on both surfaces by smoothing with pressure from the inside out, and all of the bubbles need to be spread out from underneath when placing together. If you find you have bubbles you can’t get rid of, use a pin to prick a small hole while the medium is still wet, and smooth them out.
Let dry,and then paint accents with gold multi-surface paint.
Once the accents are dry, add a coat of matte varnish to protect the surface, and let dry. Use your dish for display, or to hold little bits and pieces like rings or jewelry!
