Toile Girls Bedroom Decor

I have a lot of clients and designers who ask me for very specific things on furniture. One of my favorite things to paint are toile images. I don’t know why, I think it’s because there is something so calm and restful about toile. It’ so classic as well. And I think because I like painting botanicals and nature, it fits in with my style. I wanted to share some of my favorite pieces with you.
A bedroom corner with a dresser, lamp, pink mirror, and a painted tree mural on the slanted wall. The decor includes pink and white accents and flower arrangements.
We took this tree off of the little girl’s bedding. It’s still one of my favorite rooms to this day. I loved painting it.
A bedroom wall with a painted tree mural, a white dresser with two lamps, a pink-framed mirror, and a small flower arrangement.
I think  it looks so calm and I love the shading on the tree. It’s has a very gentle and rested feel.
A light green wall with a white and gray painted tree mural above a white dresser in a room with a sloped ceiling.
I loved doing this dresser set. They were the clients grandmother’s pieces. They have such a great shape to them, but she wanted to use them in her daughter’s room, so she wanted them lightened up and decorated. We decided to keep the here is the before.
Wooden antique dresser with ornate carvings, curved front, and six drawers with metal handles, standing on four decorative legs.
And painted with a harlequin pattern on top and a pink toile tree on the front to match the mirror and the tree on the wall.
A white dresser with curved drawers, pink painted tree design on the front, and a patterned surface with floral accents. Some drawer handles are missing.
White dresser with curved edges and six drawers, featuring a pink painted tree and landscape design on the front panels.
And I love the top, though it was a pain to do all of the diamonds; it turned out great!
A dresser top featuring a cream and beige harlequin pattern with hand-painted pink and green floral accents along the edges.
And this way just fun. We took the toile fabric and decoupaged it onto the drawers and top.
A white wooden nightstand with a single drawer featuring a red floral pattern and a metal handle, a red top and bottom trim, and an open lower shelf.

It took about 10 coats of polyacrylic varnish to get the finish, but I think it was worth it!
