Hand Painted and stenciled furniture is a great way to update and old piece of furniture and give it a new look. I have many clients who have older chairs, dressers and tables that still have a lot of life left in them, they have great bones, but most of the time it’s just the color that’s wrong. Painting furniture updates those items in a snap! I am finally getting a lot more of my work into my features some of my best and favorite before… I wanted to share some of my hand painted and stenciled furniture ideas with you.
This built in is actually a radiator cover that also was made to double as a buffet. The family wanted to have it painted in the arts and crafts style so I made a custom stencil.
I love how tit turned out and how it looks with the red wall. We were really inspired by the canvas above it.
This old cherry armoire for their TV got a brand new life with some painted, aging and a custom stencil.
This dresser is one of my favorites. The Client had an inspiration picture and then I added my twist to it. I love that they were thrilled.
This is a computer cabinet I painted for a client who needed to work from home. It had to sit in their dining room so this made it look less like an office cabinet.
This one was really fun. It’s a Trompe L’oeil plate with sushi and soy sauce. I loved painting this piece.
This client had pulled the top off of their old hutch and we made the bottom a buffet on it’s own. I think the red flowers are so much fun!
this was another pretty painted armoire.
We painted this table top black and then stenciled gold paint on top to add a little pop. Find out more about stenciling here.
I love doing murals and home portraits too and this was a home portrait I did for a local family.
This one with the bricks was one of my favorites. It was such a cool kids space under the stairs.
This little guy was so cute. I love that he loved his mountain scene room.
Nature murals are some of my favorite ones to paint!
and I love this toile looking tree over the dresser!
They just really add some much needed drama to a space! It’s so fun to take hand painted and stenciled furniture ideas and transform walls and furniture with paint and make it seem brand new!
