How to make round jute place mats…..
Hi everyone!
Thank you for welcoming me back today! I wanted to show you how to make these really cute round jute place mats for your table settings!
My name is Jen & I blog over at City Farmhouse.
I got my PB catalogue in the mail last week!
Did you?!
This is my favorite one by far,
it feels refreshing to think about summer & entertaining again,
especially after a LONG winter, doesn’t it:)?!
So I thought I would share a really easy project from their latest catalog
to prepare you for those last minute impromptu summer{& spring} gatherings.
You can find them HERE.
All you need for this project is 3/8″ jute and a hot glue gun.
I used about 34″ feet give or take to make each 13″ across in diameter.
As I went around I pressed firmly before adding glue to the next length of jute.
The rustic texture adds a nice element to the table.
Did you notice my napkin rings?
I also picked those up at the hardware store for just a few dollars.
The contrast works well with the beachy/cottage feel
& what a conversation piece:).
Simple & easy:).
You should be able to make 6 for around $40,
which is a savings of around $80!
Cute right?

I love these. I was looking for placemats like these for my Thanksgiving table last year and gave up because I couldn’t find anything affordable. I definitely want to give this a try. Love the colors of the napkins and flowers too. Very pretty.
That Jen, She sure is talented. I think I will be giving these a go 🙂
Those are awesome. Where did you buy the jute?
Love the texture they add to the table!

Love this. Great DIY.
These are beautiful! Great job.
These are great! I am going to try them. I found the 3/8″ jute rope on Amazon fairly inexpensive!
These are fabulous. I will definitely have to make a set of these.
Such an amazing and stunning knock off- I love these!!
What type of work surface did you work on to keep it flat yet not to stick to surface? I’m a beginner and sometimes find problems that I wonder if others encounter.
These are great!
The best part is, you can make them as large or small as you’d like!
I have antique and vintage ironstone dishes which tend to be smaller and the large placemats and chargers typically look gigantic with my plates!
You’re so smart!
Thank you!
