Outdoor Lounge Chairs

Have I mentioned how much I hate the cold? Funny, considering I live in Chicago. One of my favorite things to do once the weather has stretched into the upper 60’s is hang out on my deck and read.  And since  I love sustainability how could I not be excited about Eco-friendly outdoor lounge chairs made from recycled milk jugs.  I am also excited about the idea of them being much more low maintenance than our old wood furniture.

I was so excited to get the slate gray  chaise lounge with navy cushions put together.  I found some cute pillows to use as an accent. This is the perfect place for me to lounge and read a book in the summer. I can also see the kids playing in the yard from here, so it makes it the perfect view point to lounge from.

They only took  about 45 minutes to put the two chairs together, with the help of Oldest.I also like that they are super-sturdy, but easy to move around the deck with the wheels. We really love spending time out on our deck in the summer.  It makes having to spend winter cooped up more tolerable.

Reading on the back deck

The cushions are super thick and comfortable. And I’ve already spent 2 days in the beautiful weather hanging out, reading and enjoying them! And I love that like old wood furniture, they don’t stay wet from the rain. I do have to pull the cushions off though to make sure they stay dry.

A glass and pitcher of orange juice sit gracefully on a gray table, accompanied by a yellow and white striped straw in the glass. Just beyond, outdoor lounge chairs invite you to bask in relaxation.

The small side table is a perfect fit between the two chairs and perfect for some lemonade, or something a little stronger as the night goes on. 🙂 I know once my Wisteria grows in, it will be the perfect lounging spot to just take a break from the busy day.

My kids have also been hanging out enjoying them too. I can’t wait to spend the summer in them!

  1. Hi Jennifer –
I hope it warms up soon for you so you can get to enjoy your new furniture every day. Your set and the way you set it up on your deck looks dreamy. My metal framed chaises are so uncomfortable. These look so comfy – afternoon nap after reading a book comfy…enjoy
