You’ve Been BOO-ed Free Printables

One of the things my kids love around Halloween is when we pull up in the car and there’s a bag of treats with the You’ve been boo-ed printable on our front porch. Not only do they like to see what treas are inside, but they love to then go around the neighborhood and drop off bags. It’s become quite the Halloween tradition. They love the secret feeling of leaving Halloween treats and running away manically as if they are being chased  even if no one is around. 🙂 It’s such Halloween fun for spooky season! See the directions if you’ve never done it and then grab your free You’ve been boo-ed free printables below.

When Do You Do “You’ve Been BOOed”?

Around here it normally starts about two weeks before Halloween, but most of the month of October leading up to Halloween is acceptable.

How To Make A You’ve Been BOOed Bag

While you can bake cookies something sweet with labels for close friends (and leave your name inside or a text to the parent that you dropped it off. ), in today’s day and age, with allergies and everything else, it’s easier to fill a boo bag with store bought goodies. Other options are stickers, wrapped Halloween candy, glow sticks, crafts, or even little trinkets and  toys. It doesn’t have to be a lot of money. Half the fun is the delivery and discovery. For adult boo-ing, leave other things like recipes, and small decor gifts.

Does It Have To Be In A Bag?

In our neighborhood, it’ normal to place it in a large, white paper bag and staple to top with the You’ve Been Booed instructions on them. You can also do a boo basket with a gift tag, boo buckets, a gift basket,  or other container like a disposable Halloween themed Tupperware.

What’s the best way to leave a boo bag?

My kids love the old ding dong doorbell ditch method of leaving it on the doorstep and running after they ring the front door bell, and waiting to see if the door opens. In the past, it used to be the whole neighborhood. In today’s day and age it’s better to leave it to close friends or people you know well to share the Halloween cheer. You can leave it anonymous, or sign your name, We have free printable tags below to use. Always make sure to be safe when boo-ing!

What happens once I’ve been BOOed?

Once you have been the recipient of a fun Halloween surprise like a boo treat bag make a copy to attach to your own bag, then hang your boo sign in your front window so you don’t get booed again. Then boo a friend!
