Let’s Make Something- DIY Christmas Stocking Pillow

December 11, 2020 By Jennifer

I’ve had a lot of compliments about my DIY Christmas Stocking Pillow on our bed, and I thought it would be fun to feature in a new online series I am trying on IGTV I am calling “Let’s Make Something”. While I love writing tutorials and sharing in writing how to do things, sometimes I feel like there is something lost in the connection. I think I really miss the physical teaching of workshops that I’m not able to do right now, so I wanted to make some “episodes” to try it out. Maybe I’ll make a few, maybe I’ll make a lot. Let me know what you think about them, and if there is anything you want to see me do, or if you think there would be a fun project I could show you!

This project is so easy, and pretty much no-sew unless you want to keep it forever (Because it’s no-sew it’s not suitable to be around small kids or pets that might chew on it.),  but it’s great if you have an old stocking you want to use and not ruin too, and you want to do something with it other than keep it in a box packed away at the holidays. I know a lot of us have old Christmas stockings that hold a lot of memories. There is a link to supplies at the end of the post.

To make this project, you’ll need an old stocking, polyfill or the inside of an old pillow, safety pins, ribbon, a yarn tassle, and some beaded accessories or other pieces. I found the fur stocking at the store for $9 and it was on sale for half off. Not a bad deal for something that is so darn cute and could cost up to $30 or $40 in the store! If you make this, tag me on Facebook or Instagram, I would love to see it!

I hope you enjoyed this DIY Christmas Stocking Pillow project and this episode of  Let’s Make Something. It was fun to pull together in my little garage studio space for you!
