Baby nursery to big girl’s room…
Back when murals were waaaaaay cool for baby’s baby nursery’s , I did an “homage” to my husband’s English roots by.. at 8 1/2 months pregnant BTW..  painting a castle mural on the soon-to -be-first baby’s walls. It was actually the mural that launched my creative career. It took me 13 hours. It’s the room that started my mural business. My husband reminded me that I painted it the weekend he went for  a bachelor party in Vegas. Hm. Funny how he remembers that….
Anyhoo... back to the room.
I have to admit, It’s a little bittersweet to see it go.
Can you see how old theses photo’s are? I had to scan them from actual prints.
               Â
as each child came, I added a little bit more,
until by number 3 it was a full on paint-a-palooza.
and then when the crib went, the room became an office/storage place… Mostly filled with junk.
We affectionately called it the “hoarder’s room”
Fittingly, the first “baby” is ready to grow up and get her own place; so she’s headed back into the same room she started from.
So the “hawt” painter put on his bandana for me today and started painting.
He’s such a good guy; I might have to give him  a big kiss. It’s a good thing I’m married to him. 🙂
