Handmade Boutique Goodies
There’s this fabulous boutique in Evanston that sells my things called Stella. She has the most amazing things there and some fabulous artists (I am not biased or anything-) who work in all kinds of mediums. I am so honored to be one of her artists. I spent an afternoon creating one of a kind home decor and handmade boutique goodies to bring into her store. These hand-papered and collaged boxes can fit a wine bottle or even just be used for keepsakes.
This is a vintage piece someone hand embroidered I found at an estate sale. I mounted it on canvas and gave it some bling with a bit of vintage jewelry… I really want to keep it, but I know some one else will love it even more than I do. When I think about all of the hours spent on it, it really is a work of art that deserves to be honored.
Hand papered, decoupaged tray. The paper I found has this gorgeous vintage fairy on it. What a wonderful way to display I can’t tell if she’s dreaming or if she’s sad. I love the mix of papers. If you ever want to learn to decoupage your own paper, check out this post here for a decoupage tutorial on how to make a honey bee dish with a free tutorial.
This is another hand papered tray with vintage elements. I love the mix of flowers and butterflies decoupaged onto the wood. I also added painted elements.
I’m also stepping out of my maker comfort zone a little bit and making lots f t-shirts. I love how soft these are, and so wearable with a pair of jeans or sweats.
This is a fun and a mixed media piece. The color isn’t as bright as it appears, but you know how flash can be…I have a few more things I’ve bee working on too. This one is one of my favorites. It’s a set of 6 ladies that are wearing real vintage jewlejry.
I love all of their beautiful faces. All of their canvases are embellished and you can hang them together or separately.
I was going to take them up there today, but we were hit with the snow of all snows, so I don’t think I will be going very far.
