Lamp: from drabulous to fabulous…
I found this nice lamp and shade at the thrift store. It had a really nice shape, but the brass was really dated and the shade was boring.
I gave the base a fresh, new look with spray paint and recovered the shade. Ahhh the power of hot glue..
Tomorrow I’ll show you where it’s new home is…

Totally inspiring Jen. I have so many lamps like this from my mother-in-law’s house and was going to donate them to a thrift shop…but I’m seeing new life for those lamps…thanks for having the vision!

Wow! At first, I wondered, “How could she possible do anything with that?” Amazing transformation, Jen!

Love all your colors for Spring Jen! Xo
listen, i just love that you used the word drabulous. that’s fabulous! and, the lamp ain’t so bad, either!
SO fabulous! I just love it. I had some lamps that I got from the Goodwill a couple of years ago and eventually gave up and sent them back from whence they came, and I totally regret it now.
Can’t wait to see the ongoing progress on your Mom’s house, too — so exciting!!!!

Great blog!
And a wonderful shade/lamp make-over. I’m new and wonder if you’ve shown how you recovered the lamp shade. I will look around a bit more.
