Make a Vase from Tea Cups

I always find vintage and antique tea cups at the thrift store and estate sales. It’s kind of a bummer now that I have the realization that it’s no longer safe to drink out of all of them since many of them test high for lead.  They have such gorgeous patterns and colors that I still want to find a way to use them.  Making a Vase from tea cups for your spring flowers is an easy way to upcycle them and display those blooms from the garden.
Vase made from tea cups glued together

To make this tea cup vase DIY, you’ll need:
2- clean, water tight tea cups with no cracks or leaks, the bottoms should match up to be the same size
E6000, silicone  or hot glue
Make an upcycled vase from two thrift store tea cups
Once the base of the tea cups are clean, turn the sturdier of the two with a wider mouth on the bottom. Apply the adhesive to both bottoms and glue together. Let cure completely before using. it’s helpful if the top tea cups base fits slightly inside of the base cup.
Vintage plates and tea cups for mantle decor with flowers and books
If you love the idea of using vintage china and repurposing it like a plate wall filled with vintage and antique plates.
If you don’t want them to be permanently stuck together; just use a ton of hot glue and they should last for a one time use. Just make sure before you fill them with water and flowers. If you want to make them permanent, or maybe even do a higher stack use E6000 or a ceramic glue.
It’s so simple and a cluster would look really cute for a center piece at different heights, you could also use tea lights in them for  a party.
