Reader’s house with Christmas cottage charm

I am very excited today to be sharing  a reader’s home with you! I met Jenny a few years ago at one of my book signings, and have been following her on Instagram. I just love how she puts everything together, and her home is full of Christmas cottage charm! Jenny has an interior design business located in the Chicagoland area called  Finishing Touch decor. As you can tell, she uses her amazing talent in her own home as well!

Welcome to her home!

Jenny says, “I love working with clients and help them discover their style and run with it. I do both e-design and in home design.”

Like many of us, Jenny lives in an older build, and embraces the imperfections.

“My own home is cottage style and is over 60 years old. It’s filled with quirks, but I call it charm.”

Her bedroom has the perfect holiday cottage look.

Jenny has added lots of little touches that make her home feel so cozy.

“In the bedroom, I found adding shiplap to only the headboard wall was just what I needed to scratch that farmhouse itch so many of us have.”

I love how the red really pops against the white background!

Her dining room is a wonderful and warm place to sit down to a  holiday meal.

Jenny says about her dining room, “The dining room is more of a pass through with no windows but we love to gather around that table with family and friends.”

Every touch has holiday cheer all over it!
