An Outdoor Garden Party

I had  a little celebration at my house this weekend with a few friends to celebrate my  birthday. Thank goodness for my friend Tracey, if she hadn’t snapped a few pictures for me with my camera, I wouldn’t have any! Such a bad blogger! I wanted a small outdoor garden party.

It was very nice and small and casual, just what I wanted. I loved how beautiful of a night it was. The jars of white flowers looked so pretty on the porch railing.

It was a warm day, but then it dropped into the 40’s that night so I was calling it the “Polar Party.”

We had  some goodies set out on the deck. My little lemon tree in the pot was shivering  a little, but it was still a beautiful night.
Drink station at a party.
We had a drink station set up and we had a few cocktails around the fire pit. We used a vintage garden cart with enamel dish pans full of ice for the drinks.
We sat around the cozy, warm fire and enjoyed the evening.

There was lovely ambiance with candles in a concrete bird bath.

And at the end of the night there were some sweet treats.
Chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting.
Anne Marie brought some salted caramel chocolate cupcakes which were amazing, I ate the last one for breakfast this morning. :)I hope she is going to be selling these at the Nada Farm sale .  They are incredible!

I used my Aunt’s vintage pickle jars for  a night time glow. I left them dirty, I thought they looked so pretty that way.  An outdoor garden party was a nice way to bring in a new decade. 🙂 If you’re looking for more party ideas, check out this post.
