Spray Paint Outdoor Furniture Makeover

Our little metal side table from my backyard needed a fresh look. It was full of rust and chipped paint… I had  a can of Krylon in Catalina Mist laying around and did a spray paint outdoor furniture makeover. Our outdoor areas have gone through a lot of changes over time. You can see how it currently looks now.

I thought it would be super cute in that color, so I gave it a few quick coats. The key to painting a piece of furniture in that condition with spray paint is to knock off any loose bits and giving it a good soap and water scrub and dry. The spray paint will cover the rust. Turn it over (See the tutorial on the best way to paint furniture here.), and spray the underside first. Once it is dry, flip it upright an then spray it from the top down.  You’ll get the best coverage this way, and are less likely to miss any areas.

I love how the blue looks against my vintage glider (which could use a few coats of paint itself!). It just pops.
Coral bells in a blue canning jar
I have come coral bells in my yard blooming and thought they would look so pretty against the blue canning jar for this spray paint outdoor furniture makeover.
Pink Coral bell flowers
I love their delicate, little flowers. They are a great plant not only for their flowers, but for their leaves. I have many varieties all over the yard ranging from green to purple and one called Pumpkin Spice that has a pretty caramel color.

It’s now the perfect table for a glass of lemonade in a vintage glass and some summer relaxing! I love a good furniture makeover with spray paint!
