Copper and Gold Metallic-Inspired Thanksgiving Tablescape
Hi everyone! I wanted to share a copper and gold metallic-inspired Thanksgiving tablescape featuring metallic gold pumpkins in the centerpiece, pretty gold filigree wine glasses and faux leaves. I also have new dining room chairs to share with you!I really loved the idea of doing a lot of metallic decor for my fall-ish Thanksgiving tablescape. It’s not something I normally do, but a little glitz and glam and sparkle seemed kind of fun for a Thanksgiving dinner. You can see another Fall tablescape idea here.
You can see from my another home tour post, I swapped out the picture I had for the vintage mirror. I like to bring in a mirror in the fall to bounce the extra light around and make the room feel larger and brighter. Here are a few ways I created a pretty tablescape to add ambiance to our dining table. I hope this gives you inspiration for your own fall holiday tablescape.
Keep Your Tablescape View Low
While I love a good, dramatic tablescape, I also love bring able to see who is across from me. By keeping the height loe and using a lower floral spray, vases or other decor, it keeps the conversation flowing so every can fill their plates buffet style and not be distracted by a huge bundle of tall wheat in front of them.
DIY a Table Runner for a Fall Table Setting
I also decided to fancy up the wood slice table runner I made this summer with some hand lettering and stamping with a cute, gold leaf stamp I found at Michaels to layer over my tablecloth. I love how the layers and pops of color work together to create a beautiful Thanksgiving table.
Instead of Candle Holders Use Fun Candles Instead
These owl candles were a Homegoods find. I liked how quirky they were. They kind of remind me of my childhood, I swear my mom had candles that were very similar and I think they add to the Fall mood.
Have Fun with Styling Your Elements
I’ve had these wine goblets for ever and just love them, even though they are starting to get slightly etched. The gold on the rim has held up really well. I added a rope wreath in the center of the table of the fall tablescape for a little bit of rusticity among all of the glitzy decor. Faux foliage is just as nice as real foliage when styling table a table. You can also add pine cones, acorns, eucalyptus , apples or other fall elements.
Consider Using Chargers Instead of Placemats Under Your Plates
The white dinner plates themselves are on copper chargers. I think chargers add a certain kind of elegance. I kept the place setting simple with plain dishes with a copper colored charger and a single faux leaf. You can also create easy Fall leaf place cards for your tablescape. Also consider using real cloth napkins instead of paper napkins. It just feels more expensive.
Mix and Match Your Metallics for a Copper and Gold Metallic-Inspired Thanksgiving Tablescape
Many of my clients ask me if it’s ok to mix and match metals in places like kitchens and bathrooms. Yes it is! It’s also okay to do it on your Thanksgiving table setting too! On this table the pumpkins are all in different shades of metallic colors from orange to gold and they all come together to create a warm and welcoming tablescape.
Add Some Extra Fall Decor To The Room
In the corner, I added a bundled and wrapped hay bale (so no loose hay mess!) with pumpkins stacked on top. A fun warty orange one, and rustic blue pumpkin just add a little something else. If you can’t find blue, white pumpkins work just as well!
I hope these gave you some Thanksgiving Tablescape ideas to add some charm to your own decorating. Love mercury glass pumpkins? See this styled tablesetting here.
