My Holiday House Tour 2009

Here’s a little tour of my holiday house tour 2009 decorations. Every year, even though I have the same things, I like to use them in new ways.

Lights and faux berries and candles

I filled my metal decorative sled with some pretty ornaments and these fun gold artichokes I bought a few years ago.

I hung a wreath over my vintage gold mirror with an ornament inside. I love how the greenery looks against the vintage frame.

This year to decorate our Christmas tree, I made ornaments by copying vintage Christmas postcards on cardstock and hung them on the branches. I also made a bird garland out of book pages taped together for a vintage look. With our Shiny Brite ornaments,  it makes for a pretty vintage tree!

I added another wreath with faux pomegranates over my dollar store mirror on it with a sweet bird clipped on it.

In the kitchen, I added  a jar of hot cocoa with marshmallows next to a tile stenciled with joy on it ,backed by a big white plate. It’s such a cute corner of Christmas home decor.

On my side table I added some moss and a bird and cute framed picture for a holiday vignette.

I stacked a spring cement bird on some vintage books with a little berry spring for a sweet touch.

I hung up some of our Christmas cards of some of my favorite people on our vintage mirror.

On another table I placed a handmade stenciled sign next to a stack of vintage books without their covers.

In our basement we out up  our stocking hangers since we don’t have a fireplace mantel. I had the kids put them up, and something tells me we have to go over how to spell “Peace.”

And finally, I wish for world peace. I hope they can spell it better than they do in my house. Thanks for visiting my 2009 holiday house tour!
