Navy and mustard inspired living room

Do you ever get a little koo koo for a certain color combination and you aren’t really sure why? I’ve always had a thing for mustard

(the color, not the condiment, though it is the only thing that you put on a hot dog in Chicago… Anything else is a crime.). No matter how hard I try to branch out into other colors, I keep coming back to yellow.  And as for the color navy, to be honest, it’s never really been on my radar, but that color combo lately with a hint of gold is making me rethink some of my decor. I might just have to branch outside of my comfort zone a little, you know? I mean it’s such a weird color combination, but somehow, it just works. For fun,I put together navy and mustard living room inspiration board.

I love a good solid classic sofa, because no matter what style you like, it goes with everything and makes such a good base for a room.

Along with a great herringbone rug for a really solid anchor.

I found these great pillows  for the couch in Willaskyehome Etsy shop. I loved the fabric!

This lamp had a great vintage contemporary feel

and I paired it with a woven lamp shade from Anthropologie for texture.

I love the rustic feel of this coffee table

and for a touch of gold, I added a fab sunburst mirror and gold candle holder.

What do you think? Are you feeling the Mustard and Navy color scheme with some gold accents? I think it just feels so fresh right now and different. Are there any color trends that are currently inspiring you?
