Book Page Wall Art

Hey everyone! It’s Angela, from Number Fifty-Three and I have super inexpensive and easy craft for you this month.  DIY book page wall art.
A framed wall art with blue and white designs hangs on a black chalkboard wall. Below, a small table with a potted plant and a white chair with a patterned pillow are placed.

My own blog has been a little bit quiet lately as my family and I prepare to move out of state in a few weeks. Even though I’m purging, packing and sorting, I kind of can’t stop adding in little, (now temporary) details to our home. This project is just perfect for that and it’s very renter-friendly as well if you can’t out something permanent on the wall. You can use new books or even dollar store books if you don’t have vintage books you want to tear the pages out of.

Supplies to make book page wall art

vintage (or new) book pages, craft paint, small craft paint roller, stencil of choice, double stick tape, painter’s tarp or something to paint on to protect your surface.

Paint your book pages

Simply, place the stencil on your individual book pages, roll on your color of choice (I custom mixed my colors as I went, adding in more turquoise or more white as I deemed necessary), and let dry. You can use any stencil design you like for your wall art.

A paint roller with blue paint rests on a piece of printed paper with a floral design partially created using the paint, transforming it into stunning wall art on a weathered surface.

Then, using the double stick tape, apply it to the back of each book page and press it to the wall to hang each page on your wall.  This was so easy and so inexpensive to do!

I choose to define my book pages by placing a large vintage frame around them, but can you imagine an entire book page stenciled wall? that would seriously be amazing! I styled my printed book page wall with  a stack of old books and a fern for some color.

Thank you for checking out my easy little project this month! I’m so looking forward to this move and completely decorating and tweaking our old farmhouse.
