Cool Citra-solv craft solvent transfer method for some great craft/home decor projects….
Photo Out of the Crayon Box
Have you seen this transfer technique using a product called Citra-solv? No expensive transfer paper and it’s environmentally friendly!
It’s as easy as:
-Printing the black and white text or picture in reverse on a printer with toner like a copy machine.
-Tape your paper in place where you want to transfer to.
-Put a little bit of Citra-solv on a cotton ball and wipe it across the back of the paper (I would do this in a well ventilated area, it is a solvent.)
-Rub the back with the back of a spoon. It may take a bit of practice as to how hard you rub or how much you soak the back of the paper. A bit of practice is always a good idea.
-Lift and let everything evaporate off
-Heat set
You can do some really fun projects with it,Here are a couple I’ve done:
the towel is a straight on transfer,
But, I did a little mixed media action with the pillow. I always find the best images at the Graphics Fairy.

It was fun to layer the images and add paint.
Here’s a great mini- tutorial for it on Out of the Crayon box. I love her blog. She has a ton of other great projects she’s done as well and does some amazing make-overs!Stop over and say hi.
The best part, the Stocking says Merry Christmas in Polish.
Because everyone loves a Polish girl.
You know it.
