Easy DIY Wood Bead Boho Accent Vase
Do you love super easy home decor projects that are inexpensive to make? Me too! When I visit thrift stores I always see these glass vases with the centers squished in like an hourglass shape. I am not sure what you would call them, maybe hourglass vases? Flaired vase? Whatever they are called, for 99 cents, they are worth picking up to play around with. I had some extra wood beads and raffia hanging around from another project, and thought I would make an easy DIY wood bead boho accent vase with them. I had some gorgeous Goldenrod growing in my garden that I knew would make the perfect vase filler for them. I had made these a few weeks ago before I flipped my room to a more “fall” look with the giant pumpkin painting.

I have a DIY video below of the process, then you can skip to the fast step by step below.
You just need a few supplies for the project. I made two so that I had a match for each side of my mantel.
It was as easy as stringing the beads on the raffia, and occasionally checking the length to see how they fit around the skinny part of the vase.
When tying a knot on the raffia, if you are making more than one DIY wood bead boho vase, place the first one by the second to make sure you are tying the beads at the same height so they match. tie the raffia a few times, trim, and fill with flowers!
I added come beautiful, airy Goldenrod that grows in my yard. I look forward to clipping it and bringing it inside every fall because it’s so pretty.
A couple of long sprigs are perfect as vase fillers! If you like making DIY vases, you can see how to create this vase made from grapevine wreath, and this DIY vase.
This is my autumn style, thank you; better yet, I can do this myself. Searching for boho/eclectic fall decor in non-traditional fall colors is a challenging task, especially in a small town like mine. I love the vignette you’ve created. Your wood bead boho vase is genius in the company of your brass candlesticks, bittersweet candles and amazing art! Simple, eye-catching and perfect!
Hi Annie,
