Painted Fox Treasures and a cool DIY metal table….

I love  having things in my home that can serve double duty. When Painted Fox Treasures asked me to try out something from their site, this giant, awesome metal tub immediately caught my eye.

I was so excited to get it! It’s amazing! I knew I was going to use it for parties as a serving surface, but in the mean time I really wanted to put it to good use. That’s when I decided to pair it with a metal table base I already had.

Large tray used as a table top

It became the perfect DIY metal table! In fact we had a few people over the weekend I put it together, and they told me if I ever wanted to get rid of it to give it to them. I told them they can go buy their own.

It’s such a sturdy and heavy piece that it works perfectly!

very cool large metal tray for display

And it has a beautiful patina. I love the little bit of color showing through.

great patina on the tray

And I love how it adds just the right touch of rustic. And when I get tired of it as a table, I can use it as a tray again, or even a wall hanging.

Use natural elements as decor

If you want your own awesome tray, you can find it at

*I have been compensated for this post, but opinions are all my own.*

  1. I checked out everything in their shop. It’s all incredible. I will have to look and look again to figure out what I want most, because, really, I’d like it all!!!!

  2. Wow, they have some great stuff, I like their bottle holder, I would put it towards purchasing that

  3. I love this tray, looking forward to checking-out all the items they have to offer. Thank you for this opportunity to win!

  4. Oooooh! What a cool shop! I love going to auctions, and living in Iowa, this truly looks like the items up for sale– on a good day, that is. Totally authentic-looking. LOVE your tray. Also love the “iron chandelier with wood beads” (never seen one of those at auction!), the “arrow cast iron bookends” and the “shaving mirror.” I could seriously go on & on…

  5. The hanging wall baskets! I’ve been searching for something like these, and they are perfect! I wish the frog bottle opener were available!!

  6. I would buy a set of the wire baskets or a tiered wire basket. LOVED looking around! I got a ton of inspiration for my home and made quite a wish list too!!!

  7. I would buy a set of the wire baskets or a tiered wire basket. LOVED looking around! I got a ton of inspiration for my home and made quite a wish list too!!!!

  8. I am a sucker for chickens and cows! Love the cow sign and the chickens. Many, many awesome things at their site. Love it!

  9. I would buy the distressed blue tray. I’ve had my eye on it for a long time!!

  10. I think I’d buy the rooster weather vane. Maybe. I can’t decide!

  11. Love the metal wall wine rack. Saw something similar on a beach trip several years ago. Didn’t get it then. Haven’t seen it since.

  12. Great site! I want one of the three tiered metal baskets for my island.

  13. I LOVE their shop. I would get the metal tub too!!!! I love to read your inspirational blog. Thank you for the giveaway.

  14. Love this tray! Thank you for sharing this shop and thank you for this giveaway.

  15. I love the style and versatility of the trsy. I would probably buy that along with other items…

  16. Just to let you know, when I clicked on the “pin it” for an entry, it would bring me to Pinterest but no image would appear. So I decided to click on the Pinterest button that is located under the blog post and used a different image to pin. Hope that’s okay.

  17. Great! And my next payday is only a week away.

We just remodeled the kitchen and dining room in black and white with jadeite and red accents. The “theme” is 1930s-’40s chicken coop so I’m think either the green three-tier tray or the “Farm Fresh” plaque.

On the other hand, the master bedroom and bathroom are Old West so maybe the vintage horseshoes or the antique paperweights.

  18. I would either put the gift card towards one of the clocks (so cute) or give the gift card to my sister in-law for Christmas.

  19. I can’t seem to get their site to load but I would love to get something for my new screened porch.
