Modern traditional living room
One of the other rooms in the #loveyourneighbor design house was a room designed and styled by Two Hands Interiors in Glen Ellyn, IL.
They took the original living room of the home and painted it a really dramatic shade of navy blue. I would say it was definitely a modern traditional living room.
What I love the most about dark walls is the way light furnishings really pop against them.
I also love the color they added to the sofa to add some texture and pattern to the space.
Across from the couch were some blue chairs that also had light pipping. I love the natural green as a color accent from the plant. Never underestimate the power of having something living like a plant as decor.
The touch of modern art on the walls adds a nice touch against the saturated tone.
In a little nook, they added a beautiful handmade bar by a local artisan. It also could be used as an entertainment center or a computer desk.
I love the red Otomi folk art wallpaper against the navy paint.
The touches of reddish-orange really made a nice pop of color.
They styled ceramic jars underneath. I love the cut work ginger jar.
It was interesting to see what everyone brought to the table. I have a few more rooms to share still!
