I love printable gift tags, because they add that special little touch when you give homemade (or in my case store bought) treats to friends and neighbors.

For me, if you put it in a cute, little jar with a tag, I don’t care if it’s homemade or not. I love keeping my old jelly jars from Bon Maman jelly and re-using those. They are so cute, and have the sweetest red lids. Though in all honesty, I love my baked goods… if you bring me a plate of home baked, from scratch cookies on an old paper plate, you can bet I would eat them like a boss, printable tags or not!

Add string to top of jar to hang DIY printable gift tag

I just cut and punched a hole in my tags, and added some baker’s twine around the top to hang. I have the free printables below (for personal use only) you can grab and print! Then you can give cookies, or some hot cocoa and snowman marshmallows for a nice little gift set.

If you are using a home printer you may need to adjust the settings so it and your gift tags prints correctly. I find sometimes I have to up either my saturation or contrast depending on how my printer prints. It also depends on the paper too; some cardstock is a little thicker and more absorbent so it takes a little more ink than regular paper.

Happy gifting!
