Hand-stamped eggs…..

The  last day! What a week! I think there was some amazing springsperation!
For my final project in the 6 days of Spring, I wanted to share a project that would be great for spring or Easter.
How to make hand-stamped eggs!
I love these paper mache eggs from the craft store.
I pulled out my white paint, stamps and ink.
Painting and stampping paper mache eggs
I painted my eggs and let them dry.
How to hand stamp paper mache eggs
I inked up my stamp and carefully got to work. I found there is a technique to stamping on a not-so-flat- surface; it involves gently rocking the stamp around the surface with out letting it slide. I did have to re-paint a time or two until I had the technique down.

Then I kind of rolled them across the surface of one of my big text stamps to get the background texture.

They aren’t perfect, but I love how they look grouped together.

I bought the stamps a few years ago from Cavallini papers and co., Inc., and I use them all of the time.

  1. Super cute stamped eggs! I purchased some craft eggs the other day…just not sure what I’m going to do with it yet…hmmm…
    Have a great weekend!

  2. Great idea Jen … Looks great in the little nest. Maybe I should try to decorate my large paper-mache eggs. Thanks for sharing this decorating idea.
