Make a Mini-Kraft Paper Roll Dispenser
At my house finding a pen that works to write with and a bit of paper is a miracle. many a day I’ve taken notes with a crayon on an old envelope.I needed a little note pad for grocery lists and notes, and after chopping down the large roll and dowel from the large hanger, I thought I would make a place to actually write those notes down. With a real pen. That works.I know I showed you how to make a large butcher paper dispenser on Monday, so here’s the baby version!!!
It only takes 3 items too! A painted dowel rod,a black coat hanger and the extra left over piece of cut off craft paper.
Before starting, this is a good time to also pull out the eye protection when you drill and cut the coat hanger! Always use the right tools and take proper safety protection. Start by drilling a hole on each side of your dowel rood. I drilled mine about 2 inches deep a piece.
Use a pair of wire cutters (with eye protection!) to cut the coat hanger wire at the bottom about 2 inches in from the bend.
It will look like this. Squeeze in the edges a bit so the cut parts are closer.
Put your paper on, and slip the ends into the drilled part of the dowel rod.
Bend the top part of the coat hanger over to make a loop.
And hang! I know the removable hook isn’t a super sexy way to hang it, but I didn’t want to put a nail in the side of my cabinet.
I put a giant vintage cream clip on the bottom to weigh the paper down.
And then I id this one. Which prompted Oldest to ask in outrage “How come I am the naughty one?!!!”
Maybe this will keep her on her toes. After all, I’m taking notes. 🙂

Jen – I have the same problem at my house. Never a pen and paper when you need them or I can pick up 5 different pencils with no lead in them! This is a cute idea. I might just try this over Thanksgiving break. I have the perfect spot right by the phone. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Becky!
