White painted kitchen cabinets with brass hardware
It finally have it done, and I am so excite to share with you my white painted kitchen cabinets with brass hardware! It’s been over 6 years since we first painted our cabinets, and they were in need of a bit of freshening up! I can’t believe what a difference it’s made going from Benjamin Moore Linen White to Simply White.
I also replaced our cabinet hardware with new soft brass hardware from D.Lawless. I wanted something warm, but with out the yellow that straight on gold can sometimes have, especially since I was going to be mixing metals and keeping my brushed nickle faucet.
Here’s a peek at what it looked like the last time I took a home tour picture.
And here it is with the fresh paint and hardware.
I also simplified things a little. It looks pretty, but that bowl of oranges isn’t going to last long around here.
I LOVE how much brighter it is! You wouldn’t think that painting the cabinets another shade of white would make such a difference, but it does!
I really love how the soft brass hardware adds just a touch of warmth.
the pulls are actually nicer to use than the cup handles I had there before. The hardest part was figuring out the holes. I didn’t do such a banner job when I put the cup handles in the first time, six years ago, so I had to do a little fixing and patching this time to get them to line up. It just proves it’s easier when you do the right job, the first time.
And I decided on a round knob with a square foot. I thought it might help to keep the dirt away from the cabinet at the base of the knobs. There are enough dirty hands around here, I can let you know how that worked in a few weeks.
I also swapped out the silver tray over the stove for a vintage French lithograph in a gold frame. I was ready for a little change.
Our current island is an old desk, so if you are wondering what the open spot is on the right side, it s a pull out drawer we keep a cutting board on.I’ve been looking for an antique library table, but this will do until I find what I’m looking for. I have ordered a new brass towel bar for under the sink to go with the new white painted kitchen cabinets with brass hardware , so I’ll share that once it arrives an I get it installed. I am trying to find a new pendant light for over the sink. The old one is a thrift store light I made over, and I am ready for something new. I know what I want, and I can envision in my head, it’s just finding it!

Make your light fixture-you can do it!
Thank you for the vote of confidence!
Beautiful! What color do you have on the walls? Are you using an eggshell, satin, or etc finish on the walls and cabinets? Thank you?
Thank you. I’m using eggshell on the cabinets, and the walls are flat in Benjamin Moore Richmond Bisque
Thanks for the information!
Your cabinets are gorgeous, and I am in love with the hardware.
Thank you Lisa!
It’s really really pretty and I love the (soft) gold accents and “island”. I’m so glad gold is popular as I’ve always loved it.
Jennifer….this is so pretty. I really like the hardware switch. I am wondering about your hinges on your doors. What did you do with them???? They seem to blend into the cabinets. Thank you!
