A Tour of Thistlewood Farm Blog’s Home
Have I told you about my good friend KariAnne? She write the blog Thistlewood Farm. She and I go way back. Those of you who were around in the beginning of blogging; when there were only about 30 home decor/design blogs, will remember her as the first part of Ask Kari and Kijsa. She is one of those most creative people with a genuine heart that I know. I have been able to get together with her and her just as amazingly talented sister before… And let me tell you how funny and wonderful KariAnne is. She’s a ball of fire with fabulous, contagious enthusiasm, and have I mentioned she’s funny too. I laugh out loud when I read her blog.
Can you tell I am a big fan? Not to mention her home is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. She has this fabulously creative eye, and I want to move into her house. Tomorrow. Did you hear that KariAnne? I am moving in. Here’s A Tour of Thistlewood Farm Blog’s Home.
I love these marquis letters in this vintage box. They look so good with the chalkboard above it. The table has the cutest vintage numbers stenciled on it too.
This mantelscape is gorgeous, and I love the contrast of dark and light with the black urns with ferns and the white ironstone. The burlap bows with greenery are super cute.
.
Her bedroom is so serene and pretty. I love the pop of color with the red leaves in the urns on each side, and the plates hung on the wall are a nice touch to her neutral bedroom.
I am so in love with this beige painted hutch with the ironstone on it. It’s so pretty and the way she has it displayed is perfect. The cloches with glass are a nice touch on the bottom and I really like the use of dried hydrangeas for texture! They are so easy to dry at home, see how here.
I also have a thing for vintage signs so this antique railroad sign is the perfect touch over a doorway.
Thistelwood Farm’s dining room has the right touch of elegance with the fancy chandelier, and a bit of casualness with the two arm chairs at each end of the table.
And can we talk about the kitchen? It’s one of the most perfect farmhouse kitchens I’ve seen. I love the wood countertops and the white cabinets. It really makes it a place that would be amazing to cook a meal in.
And this is just a sneeky-peek.And there is more, oh so much more….. Thank you Karianne for letting me share a bit of your home with us! If you get a chance, stop over and say hi and see the rest of the amazingness!
