Anthropologie-style lamp and shade make-over….

I dropped another made-over lamp and shade at Stella’s in Evanston today. I forgot to take  a before picture of the lamp, it had a great shape but  it was a really obnoxious  shade of bright green.
I sprayed the base blue and then picked up a plain white shade.
I stitched on the shade with embroidery thread. I think it turned out so cute, but my fingers are  a bit sore from pushing the needle through. Note to self: pre-punch holes next time.

I had these cute paper flowers I adhered to the shade with a little hot glue gun love.
I love the colors. I almost wanted to keep it.
I think it looks a little Anthro, don’t you?
I hope it can find a happy, new home there!

  1. Gorgeous! I love it! I saw something similar in a store several months ago and took a picture of it with the intention of trying something similar myself. I hope mine turns out half as cute as yours!

  2. You did an AWESOME job! I just love it! I think I sprayed two lamps the same/or very similar color today! Now you’re making me think what could I do to those shades?!
    Thanks!
