Shower Update with Subway and Penny Tile

In our friends rental, this tub is an old, heavy cast iron tub that has many years left. Above it was an old fiberglass surround we were just going to keep it and have them both resurfaced together.  After looking at it, we decided the surround needed to come out. Fiberglass surrounds are supposed to be adhered to the wall as this one freely wiggled back and forth.I am the kind of person if there is any doubt. Pitch it. here are the “before” picture’s of the bathroom.

It still needs grout, I suggested   light grey with the tub is being resurfaced next week.

Here is a pic of the new floors. I totally love them!!! I know it seem like a lot of white, but I  picked out a  dark wood vanity and I have a light aqua-y blue for the walls. I wish this was our bathroom.

Once the work is done, I’ll share better images with you. It’s exciting to be a part of this project.

  2. Love the white tile, love the fact you did your self. I have got to get up the nerve to start some projects myself or nothing will ever get done in my house. We have no budget. So this is the only way. Its encouraging to see others just going for it.
