Dresser makeover from completely trashed to completely fabulous!…

Listen, no one, and I mean no one can beat the living snot out of a piece of furniture like the Rizzo girl’s can. It’s a rare talent and should be in the Guinness book of world records. This dresser makeover for me was a head shaker. I went to take off the knobs and I was like Where the heck are all of the knobs?

And at one time the right side of the dresser was next to someone’s (who shall remain nameless) bed and they felt like it was completely appropriate to peel the latex paint off in long strips and then throw it under the bed.

I can’t make this stuff up.

White dresser makeoverIn her defense, the first time this dresser was painted was way back in 2009, and it made it’s way around the bedrooms.

and in the dresser’s defense, it has ended up with the most destructive of the  three children. I can see it needing a few more coats of paint before college.

I can’t show you the whole thing now because I am working on it as part of a room make over, but I can show you a sneak peek.

I painted it Sherwin Williams Watery and found these really cute knobs from Hobby Lobby on sale!

Dresser make over with knobs from Hobby lobbyIt’s amazing how easy it is to open all of the drawers to put your clothing away when all of the knobs are on there.

I am excited to show you how different it looks! We just need to move the loft bed on the other side which is a project on it’s own so I can paint behind it and hang curtains and we are almost there.

I hope you have a great weekend!

  1. Jennifer:
I have a dresser that NEEDS your old dangly ones. Do you still have them? Cute makeover. Love the color. And the new knobs just POP.

    1. I actually am using them on the other dresser that is also missing some of them, but if you go to Van Dyke’s restorers they have some just like that.

  2. That’s Amazing! Wonderful make over.
I’m impressed how cute it looks with those knobs, and how fresh the paint looks. Nice color.

  3. You are so funny. Thanks for the giggles and the dresser looks so cute with its pretty new paint color and knobs! Can’t wait to see the whole room. Have a wonderful weekend!
