A Summer Tour of My Home with Flowers

Welcome to everyone taking The Shabby Creek Cottages Summer Tour of Homes and everyone coming over from Not Just a Housewife. I am so honored to be included with all of these amazing bloggers to give you a A Summer Tour of My Home with Flowers. Welcome to my home! It has been and continues to be a work in progress.

Cute Spring vignette over sink with towel and coral bowl with white cabinets

My kitchen is very neutral with white cabinets and a wood countertop, which is great because I like to change things around  a lot and decorate in different way. This way I can add color or change for seasons easily.
Pretty white kitchen with coral accents a vintage chandelier, wood countertops and flowers
You can read about our burst pipe and how our journey to our new kitchen here. It was featured in Country Living magazine.
Great pops of color ina white kitchen with a corner microwave and pops of red
Pretty vintage pitchers on a windowsill with the kitchen sink faucet
Great cabinet display with dishes in a cabinet
This hutch is my $200 Craiglist find. You can read about it’s transformation here.
We also had an emergency bathroom renovation, which lately seems to be our style.
Pretty vintage inspred bathrrom with pops of color
And we gave it a vintage modern twist with a bit of Anthropologie thrown in. It’s one of my favorite rooms. I still love the black and white basket weave floor.
Pretty cottage bathroom with blue towels , white walls and flowers
I use regular fabric curtains for shower curtains with a liner. When are curtain manufacturers going to get that 70 x 70 is so out.
Hand with a sign to wash your hands and flowers
My living room is always changing and actually it’s in the middle of a change itself, but here’s a look at how it was before.
VIntage couch with crocheted afghan
This is my $25 entryway. I needed to do something to tame all of that crazy outerwear.
Large clock with bead board and small blue chest of drawers and a bird cage
You would think 5 people would not need 800 pairs of shoes and 75 coats,  all at the front door at once laying on the floor in a big pile, but I guess around here, that’s how we roll. It’s not the Rizzo house if there’s not a big pile of stuff to trip over right when you walk in.
Pretty entry area with a green bench, fern picture and brown drapery against beadboard
Clock and dresser with large nest next tot stairs
Our bedrooms are pretty neutral. You can see the rest of my girl’s room here.
Pretty thrift store frame display for a girls room with paper butterlfies
and you can see our dramatic bedroom makeover here. This is another room getting a bit of a change, stay tuned!
Serene bedroom with blue walls and white bedding
Light dresser with dark handles and white lamp next to bed

For the end of the summer home tour, let’s take a walk in my back garden and relax.

Pretty outdoor seating area with a bench and roses

This is my favorite part of the yard.

Prety wisteria with outdoor cafe table

I love sitting out here when the Wisteria are in full bloom.

walk through garden path

And all of the Hosta are finally out of the ground.

  4. Lovely home, Jennifer! Everything is so elegant and charming. Beautiful girls’ room, too. My favorite though, is the incredible cabinet in the kitchen. (Well, actually just the whole kitchen itself.) You did such a beautiful job with the renovation.

  5. I love your home! It has so many interesting features and your decorating is serene and pretty. I love the touches of orange. I made that tea towel into a pillow! Too many things to comment on, but the kitchen is perfection! Cheers! Cindy @ sunsetcoasting.blogspot.com

  6. Beautiful, Jen! I just adore your style! And OH THAT KITCHEN! I love it. We had to re-do our bathroom unexpectedly too. My son stood on the soap dish and the whole tiled shower wall came down. Oops! Still have no clue why he stood on the soap dish. 🙂

    Thanks for the tour!
