Free Fall Decorating with Nature
Fall is in the air and it’s time for some free fall decorating with nature ideas! This is one of my favorite seasons to decorate for because natural decor is in such abundance outside.
Grasses from the yard in a dry vase are a beautiful way to bring in that fall feeling or a small accent.
As well as leaves, warn-toned flowers such as marigolds or goldenrod add that fall feeling with color.
Dried hydrangeas are another way to bring in fall. Many of them turn a beautiful golden color when dried. You can see how to dry hydrangeas here.
Using branches with beautiful fall leaves still on them for a free fall decorating idea is one way to bring in color and nature in. I love using Maple, Oak and Japaneses Maple branches in Fall.
This bench filled with a mix of faux and real pumpkins, and rain boots filled with branches makes our entry way pretty. I wish It could stay that way.
Even a plaid shirt from the closet makes it look like fall in the front entry. Mums from the grocery store cost $3.00. I put them in an old basket already While that’s not quite free, it’s pretty close.
I added some real pumpkins to my fake pumpkins for a display.
I love the pop of color from the red book.
If you grow your own pumpkins, of course they are free, but even a few for a few dollars each make a big impact in decorating with free fall decor.
Combining them with a small birch log stump, or even a few stacks of books can instantly elevate your grocery store pumpkins… no pun intended.
I found some pictures in the garage with fall-ish colors in them and then I just added some pumpkins to brighten it up.
It’s amazing what you can do with a few branches and pumpkins for free fall decorating!
