Welcome! We finished yesterday in the kitchen, and are headed into the dining area.

cottage dining room with farmhouse chair and fancy chair on end of table with two botanical prints on wall and a rustic chandlier

I love these botanical prints I just added! They were so inexpensive too. You can find out how I did it here.

I went with a simple center piece this year. I stacked cake plates and added some faux leaves.

I even have these little salt and pepper shakers to add some cuteness.

Then we can head up some spooky stairs past the bathroom.

fun Halloween stairs with words of caution on them and faux pumpkins. Pumpkins are only added for the picture and not there all of the time as they would be a trip hazard

See how the kids and I made these stairs .They were really fun to make! Of course the pumpkins are just there for the picture. They come off the rest of the time so they are not a trip hazard.

bathroom with touches of color a sink and toilet next to s bathtub with a slower curtain, and blue towel and a vase of leaves with a picture of roses over the toilet

In the bathroom, I changed out my regular shower curtain to my old living room curtains that I made from Target tablecloths.I also added some fall leaves and a pretty towel to brighten it up and add some color. We recently spruced up our Master bedroom and I am excited to share it with you.

Pretty romantic bedroom

The last time we gave it  a mini-make over was 2010 and I felt it was time for a bit of brightening. I found a new bedding set at Homegoods that I just loved and a few pillows to brighten it up.I decided to add some gold elements for Fall this year.

I spray painted my lamps white and added some fun shades from Target.

I found some fun metal letters and spray painted them gold and put them on the little shelves in front of my vintage mirrors.

The drapes is just a fabric I found and clipped up with drapery clips. No hemming, no sewing! See how to make similar drapery here.

I think I am going to paint the nightstands a dark grey color one of these days. 🙂
