My summer home tour…
Welcome to everyone, including those of you coming over from the amazing home of Inspired by Charm on Shabby Creek Cottage’s summer tour of homes.
Welcome to my home tour! I am so happy to have you here!
Come on up the front path we just finished landscaping into the front door to our little entry area.
I found this large print at Ikea, It used to be in my daughters room, but once she was tired of it I thought it was perfect for our entry.
Come have a seat! I found these amazing pillows at Homegoods.
The curtains are actually tablecloths from Target.
The Peonies look beautiful in a hand-blown vase I picked up the from the flea market.
I also have a tray on the coffee table with a little vignette.
In the dining area I have another flea market find. I love this giant educational chart.
And more peonies. My mom was generous enough to share them with me.
Who wouldn’t love an entire bowlful of peonies?
We just finished Little’s room. You can see her entire room here.We made over our bathroom a few years ago and I still love it.
And our bedroom, which is almost ready for another makeover!
Our kitchen also had a big makeover about 4 years ago. We recently changed out the original kitchen island for a vintage work bench.
Which I love because it gives us much more prep space.
Thank you so much for visiting! I hope you enjoyed my home tour! Stop back at Christmas time for my annual holiday tour of homes.
Continue onto the next home on the tour to the awesome home of Madigan Made.

Hello friend! What a beautiful home tour to wake up to this morning! I love your style so much, the colors are just gorgeous. Enjoy your day!!
Your home looks so pretty, Jen! I love the butterfly print in your living room. It certainly works, I think, with the colors you have going on in there. Love the curtains. I never would have thought tablecloths!
Loved the tour and love the way you use color, so bright and cheery!
Your home is always a favorite of mine. It is so bright and happy! Love, love your kitchen and the tablecloth curtains! 🙂
Angela @ Number Fifty-Three
Loving the use of art on your walls! I have the same bathroom towels! Aren’t they so much fun!
Happy Wednesday,
Alison
I love the Target bird tablecloths. I ordered them and installed as curtains in my guest room. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration!
Your house is gorgeous! I absolutely love all the pops of soft color and unique touches. What a beautiful space. I’m so glad to be your home tour buddy! 🙂
xo Michael
I love it all especially the touches of orange in the kitchen. My new favorite color.
Love, love, love! Thanks for the tip on the curtains/tablecloths. I think they are exactly what I’ve been wanting for my dining room.
Could you possible tell us the wall colors you used in your entryway? Beautiful!
Hi Katie, Thanks you! The white is Linen White by Ben Moore and the Blue is Winterwood by Ben Moore.
Wow Jen! Your home looks absolutely lovely! It’s so bright and sunny. And I love your living room curtains! I was wondering about those and then read where you got them and that they were a tablecloth! Very cool!
What a pretty, romantic style you have! I’m loving how different everyone’s taste is on the Tour of Homes. 🙂
It all looks so happy and colorful, Love it!
Beautiful colors throughout your home. I did notice one of the kitchen table sitting chairs was missing in one of the shots, do you use 5 or 6 chairs in eating area?
We have 6 but we actually only use 5 regularly. It depends on if it’s pulled over to the computer desk or not. It kind of slides back and forth. 🙂
Jen,
Love your home and love all the pops of color. It is so welcoming and bright.
Kris
Stunning… and you know I’m all over anything vintage and old! Adore that biology chart in your dining room especially! And your simple mason jar with a rose… perfection.
Love your home, Jemmifer!!! My favorite on the tour! I loove that glass lamp in your living room– possibly my favorite piece in your home! Thanks for sharing!
Jen, I love it–perfect balance of sweet, and vintage–so light and airy. I am ready to move in!
beautiful, welcoming home Jen. I love all the whimsy like your curtains & creating them from tablecloths ~ brilliant, the butterfly poster & chart & industrial kitchen island ~ gorgeous & of course all the bouquets of peony. Ours are almost ready to bloom ~ can’t wait.
You’ve decorated your home with fun bright pops of color and I just love it all! Thanks for the tour!
I love that I’m not the only one who uses Target tablecloths as curtains. And I have the same Anthro bath hand towels!
oh color !!!! love it, beautiful, fresh, happy, inviting….color!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! especially loving your kitchen color accents, awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jennifer everything looks absolutely beautiful! I’m loving all of the pops of the color and I’m totally coveting the large vintage chart in your dining room. So cool!
Vanessa
Wow, you never stop amazing me with the way you put colors and pretty things together. So inspiring!
Every detail is pure perfection. I love the flow. Perfect!!
Great way to start the day looking at such a gorgeous home style!
Oh so beautiful! I too love all the color. Your kitchen is gorgeous, and I LOVE the educational charts. It is just the perfect piece for in there. Thank you so much for taking us on this summery tour!
Jennifer, your home is so inviting and warm, you can tell a lot of love went into the creation of the finished project , not that it is ever finished, we are constantly changing and our homes reflect that change. I keep bath salts in a jar like the one you have on your new kitchen work table.
I love your home, the mix of patterns are beautiful!
Debbie
BEAUTIFUL! Love the shades of coral and blue! Thanks for sharing your home! Life to the full! Melissa
Every spot is just gorgeous! I’m lovin’ this tour….off to the next stop. Thanks for letting us all come visit. Lisa~
What a beautiful home! Everything is so soft and pretty! Love the education chart in your dining area and your daughter’s room.
I loved your kitchen in a magazine I saw but I didn’t understand why there was a curtain
in a door way? Is it to a basement? I just saw your kitchen again and it looks like that door
leads some where? I thought it would be fun to put a Dutch door there with the top open?
Just wondering what treatment you have over the door now-not much of it in the photograph
to tell? I see you changed out your island too, very nice!
HI JolieAnn, We are in a split level and it is our sub-level. Unfortunately there isn’t enough clearance for a door, otherwise I would love to put one there!!! We’ve been at work on our downstairs since last year so we’ve opted to keep it down for now.
Gorgeous home, the dining room tablecloth…Target? or where?
Yes, Target! Thank you!!!
Jen, what is your kitchen countertop made from? Is it a solid wood?
It’s butcher block from Ikea. We love it and it’s held up so well!
All those fun colors. So cheerful and inviting. Love it! Looks great 🙂
